Question. I have an ecommerce site and use a meta tage manager provided by a 3rd party company to change my meta tags. the meta tag descriptions are different than my page content. Is this hurting me?

In terms of VALIDATION or ACCURACY, Google looks to see if the KEYWORDS in these tags have SUPPORT / reinforcement at the VISIBLE content level. So in terms of answering your question, if your automated software is NOT included keywords that ALSO occur in visible text, then you are not sending an appropriate signal to Google. So, yes, you’d want to check this, as you want BOTH your META tags and your VISIBLE content to WORK TOGETHER.
