Question. We had some H1 and H2 tags the wrong way around ie. H2 first and then a H1. These have now been fixed. How long will it take to recognise these changes for our SEO to come right?
Answer. Well, there are really three questions here. All are important, and all create a huge amount of confusion amongst small business marketers working on their SEO. Let’s look at each of these in turn.
Remember that as for indexing, it’s all reputational. By having a frequent blog, issuing press releases, and sharing on social media… you “train” Google to index your content rapidly. Thereby, no changes can be picked up quickly.
All of the above… with the caveat that external links, social shares, and social authority – so-called OFF PAGE SEO – are incredibly important to your success. So in terms of priorities, don’t freak about about the HEADER family to the detriment of tasks such as getting inbound links.
