Question. We are a local business, a massage therapist in San Francisco. We know that reviews on Google+ local are incredibly important both to social and to SEO, but our listing is a mess. We can’t claim it, as we lost the password. Is there any support or help for Google+ local?
Answer. Google+ Local has been renamed Google My Business. Let’s be frank: friendly, pro-active customer support is NOT really available. This is a free service by Google, and Google has really not done a good job at making it easy to use. To make matters worse, many listings are rejected willy-nilly, and if your listing was pre-claimed and you lost the password… getting it reset isn’t easy either.
That said, there are some support options for Google My Business.
And finally to find the phone number and email contacts for Google my business, try this site, here. You can also call AdWords at 866-246-6453 (USA only, 9-8 pm Eastern Time). If you set up an AdWords account – first – then you’ll have an AdWords account ID, and you can try to talk to a Google support rep connected to AdWords.
