Question. Off-topic question if you have time: I signed in to Google Webmaster tools and there is no data – Google has not crawled or indexed my site yet. Is there any way to speed up the process of having google do this? My site is new.
2) If Webmaster tools is the issue, make sure a) you submit an HTML / XML sitemap and make sure it “recognizes” it correctly. This will happen pretty quickly – like in a day or less.
As for inbound search queries, that data will only show if you are actually succeeding… so don’t fall into the trap of thinking that there will be data there, when if you are not ranking for anything that people are actually searching for… you’ll get no data.
3) Look for crawling and indexing – you should see activity there.
