Q: Do you think these algorithms have into consideration the factor of having AdWords campaigns to influence the outcome of our organic SEO efforts?
No, generally I am quite a Google critic, but in this case I actually believe what they say: there is no correlation between participating in AdWords and having strong results in organic. If you think about it, in fact, the reverse would be just as likely: Google could cynically demote your organic IF you advertise, on the theory that you would keep advertising! So, no, I do not think that advertising on AdWords helps or hurts your organic SEO results.
