Q: Any danger in using tools like Buffer or Hootsuite to post across you7r socila channels at the same time?
Q: Video builds familiarity. Videos on YouTube with spoken word, will be auto transcribed by YouTube for closed captioning. Is the closed caption file also used for SEO? I always encourage people to correct the CC file and use keywords in the video.
Your first question is more one about social media. I love Hootsuite, as a management program, but never turn to a tool to think for you. If people use it to quantity-post across social networks, then that can be a really bad thing. People are not on Twitter or Facebook for the same things, so I am very reluctant to post the same content across networks. Some are pretty similar: Google+ and Twitter for example, or even LinkedIn. Others like LinkedIn vs. Facebook are quite, different. So be careful about mindlessly cross-posting.
Your second question concerns YouTube. In terms of priorities there, first, make sure that they keywords are inside the video title. Second, get them in the video description, Third, ‘tag’ the video using appropriate keywords. Finally, yes I agree the video captionining is very important and therefore using keywords in the video itself is definitely highly relevant. It all ‘works together’ to get a video to the top of YouTube. I have also seen recently that inbound links to the video, embeds, and total video views are also very very important to YouTube success.
