Q: I have discovered some of my content has been stolen and used as content on a few spam sites. How do I get my content removed from those sites, and how do I stop it from happening again in the future?
Gosh, this is a very hard situation. People ‘scrape’ content all the time, and violate copyright on the Web. What you should do is a) contact the website owners and explain that they have stolen your content, and are in violation of copyright, so please remove at once. I would also inform them that b) you intend to file a complain report in Webmaster tools about their site. Just log into your Google Webmaster Toosl account, and then Google ‘Web Spam Complaint‘ and you’ll find the complaint form.
There is no guarantee that Google will take action, however. But if it does it will remove those sites from the Google index. Good luck!
