Q: In the AdWords Keyword Search Tool, what are the differance between ‘keyword ideas’ and ‘ad group idea,’ and which one should I use plus some searchs come with medium competition and high in cpc and the other comes with high competition and lower in cpc ? which one should i use ?
Answer. Ad Group ideas, if that is what you are refering to, is Google’s attempt to ‘group’ the keywords into keyword families. I use this as just another hint as to what keywords and keyword helper words tend to go together.
Then if you click over to the ‘keyword ideas’ tab, then the LEFT column is your keyword idea column (again indicating a lot of helper keywords), the middle column is your volume column and when you click on columns and enable the CPC column, you get the keyword values.
