Q: How about linking between Facebook home page and our website..is this constructive for link building?
Q: does google search WordPress sites or Facebook mentions?
Answer. Facebook links in the profile itself are ‘nofollow’ as are shared links. So even if the links are publically visible to Google, they are ‘nofollow,’ and therefore have less value for SEO. That said, now that we live in a post-Penguin world, there is probably some value even in nofollow links as they make a more natural link profile, and due to link sculpting by overly zealous SEOs. So I think that even for SEO purposes, there is some value in Facebook links.
