Question: Is there another site to submit press releases that will allow a gmail account?
Answer: The two best press release websites for SEO that I recommend our first PRlog.org and second PRWeb.com. Both of them require some sort of authentication. In the case of PRlog.org this authentication is achieved by using a corporate email address. So there’s a trade-off in that you can use your Gmail on some of the other services and look at the tool block for the other press release services and but any service that allows Gmail as the authentication is going to be clogged up with spam, and not be ultimately a very good service. So if at all possible I highly recommend that you use a corporate email address.
Another way you can find press release services is simply to Google ‘Free Press release services’ and you’ll quickly find legions of services that provide press releases. However use this site: Command and check the press releases that are being submitted to see if that particular service has a good relationship with Google. Secondly, be very careful because some of these press release websites are used to trick you into giving your password to them and can place spyware on your computer. So you need to be careful and the two I really vouch for our PR log and PRWeb.
