Question: I have a question about SEO and sites that are built using flash. How can you use these tools for flash driven websites rather than html sites?
Answer: Simple answer: Adobe Flash is NOT SEO friendly. Flash is a very visual system, and Google essentially does NOT read images. So despite Adobe (and Google) propaganda, Flash is NOT SEO friendly. It doesn’t help you. It doesn’t hurt you.
Beyond that, you can use Flash (we have it on our home page), but just realize it is for HUMANS and not for Google.
So today, in terms of SEO, you have to use HTML to succeed. In any seriously competitive market, you cannot do it with pure Flash. So you have to have either a) text on each page, or b) some text pages that are focused on SEO, and others that are not for SEO but for humans and those are Flash. Finally, an effective SEO-friendly home page must have lots of text.
You can use HTML 5 to make the pages look cooler, because unlike Adobe Flash, HTML 5 is very SEO friendly.
