Question: When you add a page to your site, should you redo your sitemap?
Answer: Yes, you should update your sitemap frequently – both the XML and HTML versions. You can buy automated tools that do this, as well as semi-automated versions.
Note, however, that an XML sitemap is significantly less important than an HTML sitemap; and having a good home page, with good subpages, and good tag structure is far, far more important than the sitemaps.
I teach sitemaps within the context of being Google friendly, but point out that sitemaps are not the first thing to worry about. Your TITLE tags and home page structure is far, far more important. So don’t put the cart before the horse!
