Question: How can you use these free tools when your new product has unique selling propositions that are not ranking high in Google AdWords searches?
Answer: That is a very important question. Basically, if the consumer is NOT searching for keywords directly related to your product, then SEO will NOT work. So you have options. First, identify ADJACENT terms or closely related terms that they DO search for. Then optimize for those. We do this at the JM INTERNET GROUP for all sorts of geographic searches like ‘SEO Training Dallas’ – even though we do not train in Dallas, unless it’s a corporate training, we know that people do that search. Then we persuade them on taking ONLINE CLASSES in their PJ’s.
That’s the first tactic. Secondly, you can advertise on AdWords. Third, you can turn to social media / social sharing. This is why it is so important to think about marketing BEFORE plunging into the technical details of SEO.
