Question: When you decide what keywords you want to include, how do you go about updating them in the page source?
Answer: That depends on your editor. Many editors – like WordPress or GoDaddy’s Website tonight – are what’s called WYSIWIG. So you just go into them, and look for the main fields – usually called PAGE TITLE = HTML TITLE tag, DESCRIPTION = META DESCRIPTION, HEADER = H1 / H2, and IMAGES / ALT.
You have to play around a bit with your software, and then output it to the Web. Then do a VIEW SOURCE and look to see that the keywords are in the proper positions.
We teach this in more detail in the class on PAGE TAGS of course.
