Question: Our website had fallout or drop in Analytics in February and remained flat since that time, what should I look at for possibly being a cause?
Answer: That could be the fault of the Penguin update. Penguin slammed websites that had lots of low quality inbound links, so if that was your situation, then you may have been affected. if you did not change anything else, AND you have low quality inbound links, look there.
Reversing PENGUIN is not easy.
Now there could be other causes. For example, maybe you changed your website structure, URL’s, etc. Watch out for silly, stupid changes that someone makes to your website without thinking. I have had clients that fouled up their robots.txt file, for example, and clobbered their whole presence on Google – OUCH!
