Question: We have our sitemap named sitemaps.xml, Google is using it but just curious if it matters.
Answer: I checked your sitemap and it’s fine. It’s not very robust, or perfect, but realistically the sitemap is icing on the cake… I like to have them, and I like to use Webmaster Tools to the fullest to see what Google is up to. So your’s is OK, but minimal. It is correctly referenced in robots.txt. Check to make sure that when you go into Webmaster tools, you do see Google picking it up correctly.
