Question: I use facebook for personal/fun, and don’t want my therapy clients to have access to my FB account. But, they won’t let me start a second account. I started a business FB page for my practice but haven’t published it because of this concern.
Answer: Your PERSONAL page on Facebook is NOT THE SAME as your company page. You as the administrator can control the page, but the users do not necessarily SEE YOU. So the cool thing is to have a business PAGE on Facebook, and you do not really have to worry about your personal page being visible to everyone. This is one of the primary reasons people set up business pages on Facebook.
Moreover, business pages on Facebook are inherently public – anyone can see them, they are very public (even to Google) and they can ‘like’ your page without you having to know them. So I definitely recommend setting them up.
