Question: Q: I post PDF files of my releases, newsletters (quarterly), snapshots (monthly) – so I am really missing out right?
If you use PRweb – can you skip the free services?
Answer: Adobe PDF is not good for SEO. Google CAN index PDF content, but does NOT like it, and strongly prefers natural HTML content. So if you use PDF, be sure to set the document properties to contain keywords, and realize that it is severely deprecated. In any competitive search market, you need to use text heavy HTML.
As for your 2nd question, yes if you use a good service like PRWEB.com, you can skip the free services. Although it is good to mix / match your PR activity.
