Question: I operate several websites and have had mixed results with regard to authorship. Do you recommend creating separate Google profiles for each domain you wish to promote? Such as by using Jason in one profile, Jay in another profile, etc… so that each profile can be established as the “concentrated author” on the subject matter?
Answer: Authorship is so new, I can’t really say. What I do see is a) you have to enable authorship, b) you need a minimum of 100 or more followers on Google+, and c) you have to create SEO-friendly, keyword heavy blog posts (I.e., regular SEO on your blog posts to have a hope of having your picture show up on searches.
As for spliting them all up, I don’t think that matters. My hunch is that it is AUTHOR specific – so I would work on getting each author to have MANY followers and make sure that each blog post is SEO-friendly / follows SEO on page best practices.
