Question: How do image searches work on Google for search optimization
Answer: Images matter for SEO in a number of ways. First and foremost, an image on a page with an ALT attribute that is keyword heavy AND supportive keyword-heavy text, can help both the image and the page itself in terms of SEO / Google rank. Second, Google image search is very important and the SEO of the text on a page can ‘help’ the image show up on image search on Google. Finally, you can use XML sitemaps to convey to Google the types of images you have. So they are very synergistic – images and text!
