Answer: Very perceptive observation! Google strongly prefers text heavy sites; don’t ever let anyone tell you differently. Look at Geico.com and see how text heavy the pages are.
So, for Google, you need text heavy pages. For humans, you need clean, light Apple iPhone like layout. The trick is to serve both; good pages split between the heavy text that Google rewards and the clean layout that humans prefer. Hence the ‘art’ of SEO.
