Question: Has Google+ started to allow organizations?
Answer: Yes, Google+ allows pages for companies and non-profits. Like Facebook, however, you need to ‘sponsor’ them. So a real life human has to ‘sponsor’ your company page.
What I don’t like about Google+ company pages is that they are not allowed to engage in authorship. Authorship is how you get your picture to show on Google search results; it also cleaerly has a positive impact on click through rates. If you Google ‘How to get your picture on Google Searches / Authorship,’ one of my YouTube videos will come up, which explains authorship in great detail.
