Question: What’s the difference between organic SEO and Paid results? What is the difference between on-page and off-page optimization?
Question: Where do you think the SEO industry is headed? What areas do you think are currently the most important in organically ranking a site? What is the difference between direct and indirect link?
Answer: There are a lot of questions here. Organic refers to the FREE results on Google; paid, of course, are the AdWords-generated results. For the former, the struggle is about SEO; for the latter it is a function of bids AND good AdWords design (which I teach). On page – this is like your resume; off-page, these are like your references. Effective SEO is a function of doing BOTH right, just like getting a job is a function of a great resume AND great references. As to where the SEO industry is heading – one word: Social search. OK two words. That’s where Google+ is fitting in.
