Question: How do I set up a 301 redirect for my www and non www versions of my website?
Answer: What you are looking to do is modify your .htaccess file. If you have access to that, Google .htaccess file and you’ll find several instructions on how to set it up. I suggest Googling something like ‘how to set up an .htaccess file for non- to www. Redirect.’ It’s a little geeky.
Once you know that, you can also contact your ISP’s technical support and ask for help on .htaccess redirects. They should know what this is, and be able to assist you. It is a good idea of SEO to have a redirect, for instance http://jm-seo.net/ will always resolve to http://www.jm-seo.net/.
