Question: How many keywords should you have?
Question: If youhave a website that offers multiple services, do you ahve to do the research for each one of the services?
Answer: Keywords are all about STRUCTURE and FOCUS. In class today, we were working on a) discovery – getting ALL the keywords, b) structure – structuring / grouping them into ‘paths’ that people take to a website such as on our site SEO class / course / training vs. Social Media class / course / training vs. specific questions like ‘Is Adobe Flash SEO friendly.’ The third area is then to implement, which we will look at in page tags.
For that, it is FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS. Ideally, you want a specific content on specific pages – so that there is a one-to-one match between the target search and the target page. Google rewards this TIGHT focus.
So then your second question… If you have MULTIPLE service lines, then definitely you are going to have multiple specific pages for each one. And you research each service line as a ‘keyword family.’
