Question: A little more explanation about HI, H2 and H3. Are they visible to the user on the website?
Answer: Yes, the H1 / H2 (header) tags ARE visible to human users. That’s one reason why Google likes them. So you do want to use them for SEO, and as explained in the Google SEO guide, try to think of them like you are writing an outline, with the most important words in the H1, a step down to H2, etc.
Embed your keywords in your TITLE and reinforce with the H1 / H2 – that’s a good rule of thumb.
Finally, if your software is NOT using them, don’t freak out. It’s not always necessary. It IS a best practice. But many sites do not use the h1 / h2 and do just fine. Remember, SEO is competitive. You don’t have to be perfect; just better than the competitors.
