Question: What is your opinion about an xml sitemap for a domain and subdomains and generating a site map for a word press site with in the main site? Would it be beneficial to do both, and if so where would I locate those two xml sitemaps? Maybe it is better just to use one sitemap.
Question: In any of your classes do you give out a list of sites where you can do a free press release? I can tell by goole search results you have used several for your own business.
Question: Would you suggest using the same thing for plural vs singular or does that matter? Ie toy car vs. toy cars? Would you compare these against eachotehr in the key word tool?
Answer: We will discuss XML sitemaps in the class on website structure. They are helpful and important, but FAR FAR less important than good keyword / tag structure. So I do recommend using them, and you can certainly break them down into subdomains, etc., but just remember that they are only a marginal strategy vs. the more common techniques.
We will discuss the free press release sites in the news class. Also – they are listed in the toolbook, so download that and you’ll see our list. My favorites in order are a) PRWEB (paid), Pitchengine (Paid), and PRLOG.org (free).
