Question: If you are trying to establish yourself as a guru, does it make sense to add a biz page with your own name as well?
Answer: It really depends. For most small companies, right now, I do find that the biggest opportunity is in the individual pages on Google+ and the company pages are pretty weak, except for some of the rock groups and movie stars. So if you can think of a reason people want to follow your business, then create a Google+ page for it. But don’t just rush and create a Google+ page for your business, and do it all just like Facebook, and MISS the opportunity presented by trying to be a guru on Google+.
People are trying to pigeonhole Google+ into a Facebook look-alike, and I think that isn’t going to be its long run strength in my humble opinion.
