Question: What are a few of the most effective ways to use pitch engine with a release to boost SEO
Answer: Press releases, or news releases as they are often called, are a great SEO opportunity. First, identify the sorts of keywords that potential customers will be searching for. That’s essential. Second, make sure that the news release is on your own website and follows good SEO-friendly tag structure (keyword in title tag, etc., as I teach in our class on Page Tags). Third, link to the news release, one click from your home page.
Syndication then means using a service like Pitchengine.com to ‘push’ your news to the blogosphere. Enter it in their system, making sure that your good keyword structure is retained. Second, make sure to identify ‘tags’ that reflect the sorts of keywords that blogs might ‘pull’ from their system. Third, make sure to include a link inside the release back to your own site. Fourth, if possible, add a ‘resource link’ (which Pitchengine.com) allows.
One final thing. A serious press release is also an opportunity to use social media. You can post a link to your release on Twitter, Facebook, your blog… So press releases really are one of my favorite SEO tools.
