Question: When you add in all text – do you add keywords on the source view page or in your web page. If you use INTUIT, how is it added?
Answer: I am not familiar with the INTUIT web design platform, but all platforms have the ability to do most tags, with the exception of the H1 / H2 tag family. Sometimes that one is (unfortunately) missing. But most will have at least the TITLE tag, META DESCRIPTION, and usually the ability to add images and alt attributes, etc. Also, you can write keyword heavy copy in any web development platform.
The way that I approach this is to do a little experimentation. Create a draft page, and create a TITLE for the page (it may be called post title, or page title). Write some headlines and headers. Write some keyword heavy content. Then output the page to your real website.
Next, then VIEW SOURCE and see if what comes out on the output is SEO friendly. Is there an SEO-friendly, keyword heavy TITLE tag? A META DESCRIPTION tag? An H1 / H2 tag, etc.? If so, you are good. If not, go back to the web development platform and fuss with it to identify where these tags are hidden. Once you get the hang of it, then you will know where the tags “live” on your web development platform.
Each platform is different, so you have to experiment. Remember that Google only cares abou the output in HTML not the CMS / platform by which you created it.
