Question: Hi, can you talk a little about conversion rates – do we want lots of visits to our website if they leave straight away?
Answer: We cover this in the class on Website structure. Basically, conversion rates are where the hand off occurs from the Google search to your website. You have to offer them something that they want, and do it in a visually appealing strategy. I speak a lot about using ‘free’ as an offer (free download, free webinar, free demo, free consult) and moving people from prospect to customer to fan to evangelist.
It’s very conceptual, and really is more a web design issue than a Google one – but HUGELY important!
