Question: Is there a way to omit your site from a search or from appearing on the first page of Google?
Answer: Yes, you can use the robots.txt file to exclude directories and files from being indexed by Google. You can also use the NOINDEX meta tag. Just Google ‘Robots No Index’ and you’ll see many explanations. Of course, most of our students WANT to be included in Google, so we teach them the reverse – how to ensure that content IS picked up by Google!
