Question: If someone hits your landing page, fills out the form and leaves, it will show that the landing page had a bounce. what about having the form on a different page or if the form dumps you on another page on the site, would it show as a bounce?
Question: What do you think about the need for a “video site map.
Answer: A bounce is an immediate entrance and immediate exit. So if you have a registration or squeeze page, and there is no ‘thank you’ page generated, then you will create a ‘bounce.’ The best practice is always to create a NEW thank you page that they see AFTER registration. Then you will not get these spurious bounces in Google Analytics.
If you are heavily promoting video a video sitemap would indeed be useful (e.g. a videographer). But for most websites, I think it is better to a) embed the YouTube videos in the site with descriptive text around them, and b) optimize the videos on YouTube with good keyword heavy titles and descriptions.
