Answer: If you are advertising, you MUST be making more money per sale than you are spending. So your ROI has to be positive. That makes it tough if your product isn’t a great profit center.
That said, the great thing about SEO is at some level it is FREE / your cost is ZERO after you implement. So for low budget products, SEO actually can be much, much more efficient than AdWords.
