Question: In places,If you are listed A vs B what does that mean? Can a company affect how you are ranked?
Answer: Google ranks websites based on relevance. So in Google Places, an ‘A’ listing is first, a ‘B’ listing second, etc., so it is Google trying to tell the searcher which matches are better. HIGHER is of course better as people read from top down, and often click on the first one or two that they see.
How do you get there? That’s the game that we teach – know your keywords, weave them into your content, etc.; we have a new one hour class on Google Places kicking off for the fall, as it’s huge.
