Question: Do the classes cover how to implement techniques through WordPress? We have multiple sites on WordPress, but I am a beginner with limited knowledge.
Answer: As we discussed, briefly in the webinar, WordPress by default is NOT SEO friendly, In particular, many out-of-the-box themes do not support good TITLE tags, and good META DESCRIPTIONS. You can also set the URL’s to be bad.
I recommend downloading and installing the WordPress plug in called, all-in-one SEO pack for WordPress. You can either Google it, or if you are ‘logged in’ to WordPress go to the plug in section and search for SEO there.
In all cases, you still need to ‘know what you are doing’ and use high volume / high value keywords, and optimize your content around those keywords. WordPress with a little plug in assistance is a GREAT platform for SEO, but it isn’t that way out of the box, nor if the person using it doesn’t understand the subject.
