Question: In Google analytics – what exactly is Bounce Rate?
Answer: Bounce rate means an instance landing and immediate exit. So if they ‘land’ on your web page from a Google search, read your blog post, and then go somewhere else – they are an exit.
Bounce rates vary all over the map – it depends on your business, type of content, etc. Usually if you can get under 60% or so, that’s generally pretty good. But it really varies based on what the page is ‘offering.’ Also – improving your keyword matching means people land on your site who actually do want your content. Lower bounce rates are better.
