Question: Is a WP blog on a subdomain ok instead of a folder?
Question: Do I post my PR on my blog before or after submitting to PR sites ? Does it have to be different if I post it on my blog? After I post it do I Digg, Tweet the PR post or my blog post or both?
Answer: Subdomains are not nearly as good for SEO purposes as directory. So twitter.jm-seo.net is inferior to www.jm-seo.net/twitter. Not a huge deal, but still worth doing in the better fashion.
As for your second question, as we discussed in class, yes you want some differences between them. Your Twitter format, for example, becomes the short version (< 140 characters). Your blog becomes the long version; your Facebook becomes the medium version.
After you create a news release or a good blog post, then – by all means – Tweet it, Digg it, do all sorts of those little things (email alerts to blogger and editors), and try to publicize it.
