Question: Can you search within Google’s “find keywords” feature and filter for a specific state or city rather than an entire country?
Answer: This is a very important question – getting at the local search issue. In the Google keywords tool the ‘local’ aspect refers to a COUNTRY and not a city. As we saw in class, you can do various tricks, like set your location to get some ideas.
Ultimately, your best information will come from setting your website up right for SEO, and then using Google Analytics to look at how local search behaves. There isn’t really a good tool for local search volumes, at least that I know of.
