Question: If I want to target my keyword search in my url, but the keywords are not in my company name can I do a rediret from my main company name domain to the keyword target url. Does that water down my Google juice?
Answer: Yes, exactly. The domain itself isn’t absolutely critical. What you CAN do is have keyword heavy file names, folder names, etc., and then one click access from the home page. Geico.com does not have ‘insurance’ in its domain, but has landing pages that are very keyword heavy, and have the target keywords in the landing page URL’s. That’s a good solution for most companies.
