Question: If using WordPress or any blog, how do you input or designate H1, etc tags.
Answer: For WordPress, there is a plug in called ‘All in One SEO Pack for WordPress’ – install this plug in, and that will get you a long way there. It’s at http://bit.ly/aOCX81.
Secondly, once you are working in WordPress, output your files, and do a VIEW SOURCE to look for proper SEO-friendly HTML output. Look for a good TITLE tag, a good META DESCRIPTION tag, (hopefully) an H1 and H2 tag plus some a HREF’s up or down that are keyword heavy. Make sure that the target keywords are ’embedded’ in the SEO tags.
Google cares not at all about HOW you create the pages (WordPress vs. Drupal vs. Joomla vs. SEO, etc.), but rather the actual HTML output. So work backwards from ‘best practices’ for SEO to the WordPress platform. The H1 / H2 tag is usually the most troublesome…
