Question: You touched on site map. but how is one made?
Answer: We explain this in more detail in our class on website structure. Basically, first create an HTML sitemap. A ‘clickable’ path from your home page to every page on your website. Second, go to the free XML sitemap tool that I explained in the ‘Top Ten SEO Tools’ webinar, and have it generate your XML sitemap. Third, upload this XML map to your. root directory. Fourth, tell Google about it in Webmaster tools and in your robots.txt file.
I know it sounds complicated; it isn’t really but that’s why taking the classes is so helpful. It makes the complicated, less so.
