Question: Do we have to write articles in HTML or can we use MS Word and then send to Google and others
Answer: The web is really only truly HTML; so everything that you produce that you want to be Google / SEO friendly MUST be in HTML on the web. Not Adobe flash, not Adobe PDF, not Microsoft word.
Now, that said, you can write your press release FIRST in Microsoft Word and then convert it to HTML for publication. You can also copy / paste from the Microsoft Word into the database on a site like Pitchengine.com, but ultimately the output will be in SEO-friendly HTML.
