Question: Does it make a difference how the website was create? (WordPress, java, html)
Answer: Ultimately, all Google really cares about is the HTML output. So if you are using WordPress, Joomla, Drupal or any other content management system (CMS), it really does not matter.
That said, what DOES matter a great deal in terms of the ‘on page’ SEO is the tag structure and content of each page. Many of the CMS systems are NOT SEO-friendly out of the box. WordPress, for example, does not have good features for optimizing the all important TITLE and META DESCRIPTION, so you need to download a plug in such as ‘All in One SEO pack for WordPress.’
What I recommend to students is first, understand the basic on page principles – which tags do what in terms of SEO (TITLE, META DESCRIPTION, H1, etc)., then output some test pages for your site. Then work BACKWARDS from those test pages to your CMS system and you may have to tweak it to get really good SEO-friendly HTML tags.
But,ultimately, Google doesn’t care about the CMS systems. It cares about the HTML output.
