Question: Would there be any benefit for a non profit organization to use AdWords or is this best for product and/or service businesses?
Answer: AdWords costs money, so if your organization can’t get into Google Grants and/or does not have a robust marketing budget, then I wouldn’t necessarily recommend AdWords. That said, if your charter is to reach out to people who may NOT be searching for your services or information, than AdWords (especially the Display Network) may be an excellent way to ‘get the word out.’ It just depends on a) your organization’s goals, b) your mandate, c) your budget, and (most importantly) if your target ‘customers’ are searching Google for appropriate keywords.
