Question: what’s a bounce rate in Google analytics?
Answer: A bounce in Google Analytics is a single entrance and immediate exit. This isn’t always bad. Sometimes, they just land, read your blog, and leave. Other times, if you have a registration for a webinar or e-commerce purchase that is on a DIFFERENT domain, it will be tracked as a BOUNCE even though it’s a good thing. Third, if they pick up the phone and call you – that would also count as a bounce.
So bounce is a measure of how deeply they browse your website. Immediate entrance, immediate exit = bounce.
