Question: Maybe he did and I missed it, but if a KW is high demand and high comp is it a good word to use? That is what I don’t get!
Answer: That’s a I always say: Fish where the fish are, and choose the best fish. In a perfect SEO world, you would find the ‘riches in the niches’ – those keywords that ARE very valuable, and other people do now know that they exist. In most cases, however, others have ALREADY discovered the keywords.
SEO and AdWords are competitive sports. That said, you can DOMINATE even competitive keywords through best practices. So, perfect: find riches in the niches (that others don’t yet see); less good, fight to the top of ‘discovered’ niches.
Identifying your own business value proposition (BVP) may help you narrow down your search. Trying to dominate ‘Medical Malpractice Attorney San Diego’ is much easier (for example) than ‘Medical Malpractice Attorney’ AND more valuable!
