Question: I’m Sorry. Would you please explain what an H1 and h2 are?
Question: Does each new landing page need to have its own URL?
Answer: The H1 / H2 tag family refers to the PROMINENT text on a page. It is an optional tag family, and many sites do NOT use it, even though it is FAVORED by Google. So I do recommend using it if at all possible. Re-read the Google document and you will see tha they mention it, and recommend its use.
A landing page is page that targets a specific search. Therefore, it should be laser focused on the search keyword family and definitely have its own unique URL on your website. If you lump content together, you lose focus and keyword density; and will not do well. Old Nigerian proverb: The man who goes after two mice catches none. The Google version: landing page that focuses on two keyword groups, succeeds at neither.
So have laser focused landing pages to succeed at your target keywords.
