Question: Is a URL and a domain the same thing?
Answer: No, every page on a website has a URL no matter how long. The domain is just the basic address, as in jm-seo.net, or cnn.com. If the domain contains keywords, that is one powerful factor at getting to the top of Google. If a URL contains the keywords, that is also helpful. So every URL references the domain; but many URL’s are much, much longer than just the home page domain address: www.jm-seo.net for instance, vs. http://www.jm-seo.net/SEO-tutorial/free-press-releases.html.
