Question: I work in 20 cities how many cities can I put in my keywords, and where do I put them?
Answer: For SEO purposes, I recommend that you create specific URL / landing pages for EACH target city. If you can’t do them all, do the MAJOR ones first. Google rewards a very tight focus for landing pages.
In terms of Google Places, the situation is more complex. You are rather limited to having just one Google Places listing for each PHYSICAL location. There are some tricks I teach in the Social Media webinars, but they are limited in scope; so sometimes you have to use AdWords advertising to reach communities where you service but do not have a physical location.
Alternatively, you might open up a physical office (think Mail Box Etc.) in locations that are very important to you, with an associated phone number, so that you can actually have a Google places listing in the target cities!
